At Arrival

According to the agreement at the time of booking, you have access to the booked service.

Please call us if changes occur.

At arrival, we will meet you at the parking lot, show you around the area, provide the necessary information about how everything works with us and where to find everything.

If you have any questions or something unexpected happens, just contact us, we can be reached around the clock by calling us.

Payment: Paid in cash on arrival or MobilePay, not by card.

Parking: Is directly at the entrance to Malmbacka. We move on foot in the area and the vehicles are not allowed to be taken to charcoal huts and cabins unless otherwise agreed.

Electricity: We have no electricity in the area, instead we use storm lanterns, candles, firewood.

Water: We have a water well with good drinking water.

The charcoal huts: Have their own stove where you make a fire yourself to get warm in the hut.

The cottages: Are nicely furnished for 2 to 5 people. The cottages have their own stove, which you can use to heat the cottage yourself. Bed linen is included. The cottages are not winterized.

Sleeping bag (+10 – + 20 C0 ), hammock and towel: Can also be rented.

Cleaning: Before departure, clean up after yourself and fill up small firewood in the overnight cabin/hut, grill and sauna.

Food: Prepared by an open fire in the barbecue area. Absolutely nothing should be lit anywhere else in the area!

The sauna is self-served: you heat it youself and use water sparingly so that it lasts for others besides youself.

NB! Malmbacka takes care of emptying the ashes from the stoves and filling the oil in the cabins.

Toilet: We have an outhouse with toilet paper, water and soap.

Animals: We have reserved the Charcoal Burner’s Hut, Fanny, for animal lovers. Pets are allowed on a leash in the area but do not disturb other guests. Animals must not dig holes in the ground or leave faeces behind.

Beach: Available in Box 7 km from us, it is a quiet, nice, shallow, child-friendly beach with an outhouse. N 59º 56.4077′ / E 23º 37.8292′

In Tammisaari and Hanko there are many nice beaches. The beaches are usually clean, but you should still be vigilant if there is glass in the sand.

Smoking: Be careful not to dirty and leave cigarette residues behind in nature, accidents can easily happen and it can start a fire, there are also children and animals that can eat them. Smoking is prohibited in the buildings.

Barbecuing and lighting fires in the area: is only allowed in the barbecue area. Do not use your own grills!

Garbage disposal: Trash should be cleaned up after yourself and put it in the designated container at the parking lot.

Packing and equipment: We recommend that you pack disposable tableware, weatherproof clothing, rain gear and water-resistant footwear.

Warm clothes for cold evenings and nights (hat, mittens, wool socks and sweater) A good tip; You sleep well with a hat on your head and socks on your feet when it’s chilly.

Also towel, swimsuit, sleeping bag, camera, binoculars, pen, notepad, water bottle, essential medications, mosquito spray and staple.       

In case of an accident: There are fire extinguishers in the sauna, grill house, cabins and huts. In the cabins and huts there are also smoke detectors. In the grill house there is a First Aid Kit.

The nearest medical help is 15 km from us in Ekenäs.

Harassment in the area: The area is private and here the right of public access does not apply, but our regulations.  In our holiday village, we want everyone to take each other into consideration, nature, the wild animals, the tranquility, the silence.

We want you to follow our regulations and not be disruptive in any way. If there is any disturbance or other inappropriate behaviour, please leave the area immediately.
