Charcoal Worker’s Hut


Disconnect from your everyday life and experience a night in a simple charcoal worker’s hut located in the Charcoal Forest surrounded by nature and quiet among wild animals. The huts are furnished with two cots covered with sheep skins, and there is room to add a third cot.
You’ll relax from your everyday stress, enjoy the nature and quietness. You will heat the hut by chopping wood and burning it in the stove, and you’ll sleep well with the sparking sound of the fire. The next morning you’ll wake up rested and filled with new strength.
This adventure is suitable for people of all ages who want to try something special and different. Before you leave, please remember to fill up the firewood bins and clean up after you.

Stay overnight with your pet


If you wish to stay overnight with your pet, the charcoal worker’s hut Fanny is available.
No pets shall be taken to any other buildings.
Pets are allowed outdoors while leashed. Please make sure that you pets do not disturb other guests, dig holes or leave droppings behind.
Before leaving, please remember to fill up the firewood bin and clean up after you.
The prices are the same as in the other huts.
Charcoal worker’s hut Hilma and Harry


Experience a romantic stay overnight in a beautiful, cozy charcoal worker’s hut. The hut is sparsely furnished with a table, benches and a wider bed for two people covered with a sheepskin. Let love flow. Perfect for courting couples, newlyweds, or anyone who wishes to snug up close to each other.
You will heat the hut by cutting the wood yourself and burning it in the woodstove.
Before leaving, please remember to fill up the firewood bin and clean up after you.

Grandma’s cottage



The cottage is cozy and simply furnished with room for five people.
Food preparation should take place at the campfire sites.
Before leaving, you should remember to add firewood to the wood container and clean up after yourself.
Price: 150 € / day incl. bed linen, sauna and barbecue.
The cabin Etel


This timber cabin is cozy and sparsely furnished with two beds, a table and stools. You will heat the cabin by chopping the wood yourself and burning it in the woodstove. The beds have already been made when you arrive.
You will cook your food at the camp fire sites.
Before leaving, please remember to fill up the firewood bin and clean up after you.
Price: 45 € / person

The hay barn


The hay barn is cozy with a bed for two. You will heat the hay barn by chopping the wood and burning it in the stove. ( The stove is on the rise )Food is to be prepared at the camp fire site.
Before leaving, please remember to fill up the firewood bin and clean the cabin.

Tent, Motorhome and Caravan

At Malmbacka you can also stay overnight in your own tent.
The price is for adults 25 € / night, Children 10 € (1-17 years) / night.
The price includes access to Sauna and barbecue house.
Motorhome and caravan guests should also book in, call us and we will come and see a place for you.
Adults 25 € / day, Children 1 – 17 years, 10 € / day. Children under 1 year = free. Access to sauna and barbecue is included in the price.
Sauna-Anna


When you spend the night at Malmbacka, you have the opportunity to use the sauna at no extra cost.
You can also choose to book only the sauna for a pleasant sauna evening with the family, good friends, work colleagues, girl reunion, bachelor party, bachelorette party, Christmas sauna, etc. You chop wood and heat the sauna yourself. Water is in a container behind the sauna, which you carry in and fill the water container with, before departure. Remember to refill firewood in the sauna. The sauna in the sauna is very nice and comfortable because the oxygen exchange is very good.
Come and enjoy a really good sauna. The sauna holds max. 6 people
With good luck, you can see moose or deer outside the sauna where they have one of their paths.

Barbecue / food


When you spend the night at Malmbacka, you have the opportunity to use the barbecue areas at no extra cost.
Here you can prepare food over an open fire, experience the warmth and crackling light of the campfire, go down in laps and enjoy.
Primitive cooking equipment; pots, pans, etc. can be borrowed in the barbecue house.
We have a barbecue area in the open air and one in the barbecue house Thelma. You take care of the grill by chopping the wood and setting up the fire yourself. Make sure the fire does not spread. Remember to refill wood in Thelma’s wood container before leaving.
You can also choose to book only for barbecues with your friends, co-workers, family and others.
Make sure the fire is related when you leave the barbecue area.
The nearest grocery store is in Ekenäs and Karis.
Price: 10 € / adult, 5 € / child, 1-17 years / 2 hours, max 15 people in the barbecue house Thelma. At the outdoor grill no direct restriction.
Open all year round



We are open all year round and can offer you the opportunity to have experiences in the coal forest at any time. All seasons have their charm and the experiences in nature are incredibly beautiful where the silence prevails and the wild animals of the forest move freely.
You can take the opportunity to spend the night in a charcoal hut in the winter, enjoy a winter sauna in the middle of the forest, walk in the snow with a storm lamp, maybe it will start to snow while you walk along the nature trail or the winding village roads. You chop the wood and fire in the stove so you get it warm and comfortable in the hut. Prepare a piece of food by the campfire and experience a de-stressing moment in the coal forest. We collect drinking water and you should store it in the hut so it does not freeze, you can also melt snow for coffee making and food preparation.
When you spend the night in the winter, you should remember to pack warm clothes.
